Dr. Ellen Hallams
Dr. Ellen Hallams is a Lecturer in Defence Studies at King’s College, London, based at the Joint Services Command and Staff College of the United Kingdom Defence Academy. From April-June 2012, she was a Research Associate at the Norwegian Defense Institute in Oslo. Dr. Hallams has published extensively on NATO, including The Transatlantic Alliance Renewed: The US & NATO Since 9/11 (Routledge, 2010). Her most recent book is NATO Beyond 9/11: The Transformation of the Transatlantic Alliance (eds. with Luca Ratti and Benjamin Zyla, forthcoming October 2013, Palgrave MacMillan). She has also published articles on NATO in the Journal of Transatlantic Studies, International Journal, International Affairs, and RUSI Online. Dr. Hallams is also the co-investigator on a major Economic and Social Research Council-funded seminar series on “NATO after Afghanistan,” held in the United Kingdom and Europe beginning in the autumn of 2012.
