Dr. Michael J. Mazarr
MICHAEL J. MAZARR is Legislative Assistant and Chief Writer in the office of Rep. Dave McCurdy (D-OK). Dr. Mazarr holds A.B. and M.A. degrees from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland School of Public Affairs. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Georgetown University National Security Studies Program, and he served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for seven years as an intelligence officer. Before coming into the House, Dr. Mazarr was a Senior Fellow in International Studies, where he directed a number of major projects. He has authored five books, edited five anthologies, and published a number of scholarly articles.
